Ajanta Caves
Ajanta Caves is UNESCO world heritage site in Aurangabad district in Maharashtra, Ajanta caves are situated between Aurangabad and Jalgaon, 104 kilometers from Aurangabad.
The journey takes approximately 2 hours to reach Ajanta caves entrance point where you can take shuttle buses which take another 10-15 minutes, caves opens all the days of the year even on Indian national holidays except Monday.
Tour Itinerary:
7:30 our English speaking driver will come to pick up you at Hotel.
After greetings proceed to the Ajanta caves by AC private car which will take 2 hours reach Ajanta caves, in route you can have your breakfast at any restaurant which is on the way or you can ask driver for suggestion of best restaurant, once you reach Ajanta caves our driver will show you where buy Entrance tickets and water bottles which you can carry insight caves. After buying entrance ticket explore Ajanta caves starting from cave no. 1 to cave no.27, which usually takes 3 to 4 hours, ensure you must spend more time in must visit caves like cave no.7, 8, 10, 11, 12,16, 22. Which has excellent rock carvings and paintings, and in cave 22 you will see the statue of sleeping Buddha. after you visit all caves proceed back to parking area to meet driver and start your journey towards Aurangabad, on the way you should have late afternoon lunch in any restaurant which on the way, our driver will wait while you have lunch, after that drop to hotel.
Things to Know before Going Ajanta Caves,
Ajanta caves have moderate climbing and you have to take the shuttle bus from parking area of Ajanta caves, and journey takes around 10 minutes, a bus will drop you near ticket counter.
You can take photos in cave but you need to turn off flash of your camera/mobile, for video shooting cameras (Camcorder/DSLR) you have to take separate ticket at cost Rs.25/- but you can only shoot out sight of caves.
